Ukulele Lessons in Guildford

Learn to play Ukulele in Guildford

Fancy something a bit different? The ukulele is a great little instrument that anyone can learn to play a simple tune on very quickly, and I recommend it for my younger pupils just starting out. You can buy a reasonable instrument for less than a hundred pounds to get started, and once you have learned to tune up and play a couple of chords, you’re off! I can advise on purchase options if you are looking to buy your instrument, equipment or books.

The popularity of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain has gone some way towards throwing this versatile little instrument back into the spotlight and it is gaining momentum as an instrument which is now being taught in many primary schools. A lot easier on the ear than a recorder!

"Carl is certainly the best music teacher I've ever had, and I consider him one of the best teachers I've had in general - I can't recommend his lessons enough. Carl's lessons helped me develop my playing and musicianship in a big way, as all teaching me plenty of skills and habits regarding maintenance and good general practices to back up what I was learning."
