Acoustic Guitar Lessons in Guildford

Learn to play Acoustic guitar in Guildford

The acoustic guitar is an incredibly popular instrument to play. It's accessible, easy to carry, not too big for storing at home, you don’t need anyone to accompany you, it has a beautiful sound, and an entry level instrument doesn’t cost a small fortune- the list is long!

Learning can be broken down into attainable chunks allowing pupils to feel a super boost of achievement at every step. Lessons with Carl Moore Guitar School are tailored to gain skills at the right speed for each individual pupil, no matter who you are, or what you want to learn.

Want to find out more about Acoustic Guitar Lessons?

With nearly 20 years of experience, I know that the secret to mastering the acoustic guitar is playing the kind of music you love. I strive for great student/teacher relationships that allow me to identify the student's perfect genre, which I structure into a realistic, progressive learning curve. You could be strumming along to folk classics like “Blowing in the wind”, getting your fingers around those famous four chords in “Wonderwall” or grooving to the blues with “Ain’t no sunshine” by Bill Withers. Whatever it is, you're going to absolutely love it.

My focus is on the tailored approach. I can help you work towards your first gig or I can prepare you for RGT and Rockschool Grade exams if that is required. My philosophy helps my pupils not just learn but excel. I have helped my students launch their own careers in music and I have a 100% Distinction pass rate for pupils entered into RGT grades.

"Carls lessons have been extremely helpful and has enhanced my guitar playing over the past 7 years. Every lesson is immersive and he focuses very hard to get the best out of his students not just telling me what I need to work on but showing me exactly how to do it himself and how I can practice to improve my playing to the best ability. I strongly recommend him as he is not only an amazing guitar player and teacher but he cares for his students making every lesson worth it."
